Leading the team in scoring were Cameron Lewis and Darrell Miller - both preseason Gulf Coast Athletic Conference selections. Though an early and often 3-point parade by Martin Methodist created a lead, the Bulldogs had a strong showing in their season opener with a mix of new and seasoned players. Head Coach Derek Watkins believes the added depth of this year’s recruits and transfers make an immediate impact. “We have a strong team and we shoot very well. Good things are expected from our new players and they will gain major minutes.” The Bulldogs will visit the Spring Hill Badgers (SSAC) for game two of the season on Friday, November 2 in Mobile, Alabama.
