Girls Soccer

April 5, 2014
By Colin McDavid of Hoke County High School

The Girls Varsity Soccer team lost to Cape Fear 1-2 last night. The lone goal for the Lady Bucks came off the boot of Alayna Lewis.  It was a very well played game by our girls. Our girls showed no fear against a very good opponent. They defended well and created a lot of scoring chances.  We had many outstanding performances, with Mikail Montgomery, Lucy Walrath, Hannah Locklear leading the way.

Last Monday we beat Purnell Swett 1-o.  Ashelynn Priest was our goal scorer.  Hailey Johnson and Abigail Reyna had the shut-out in goal.  It was a good performance by the girls, except for us not being able to capitalize on all of the scoring chances we had.
