Hoke Fares Well In Jamboree

February 24, 2014
Hoke County High School

The girls soccer team placed 2nd at the Kicking for Cancer Jamboree this past Saturday.  In the first game the girls defeated Richmond 3-0.  The second game was an exciting encounter with Pine Forest where they went into a sudden death penalty kick shootout.  Hailey Johnson made some remarkable saves to help give the girls the victory and a place in the finals versus Jack Britt.

We lost 0-2 in the finals, but played extremely well.  Overall, the jamboree was very beneficial to our preparation as it gave the girls a chance to bond and build team chemistry for the upcoming season.
