Danielle Farrell was key in the win for the Bucks, scoring 24 and picking up six rebounds, and Briana Darden contributed a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Camri Leach had 14 points and three steals for the Red Devils (4-5). Red Springs coach Kimberly Ray knew the size advantage of Hoke would give her team trouble. "They have height and the girls are very athletic," Ray said. "They were a little bit quicker than we were getting up and down the court." Hoke (1-6) pushed its halftime lead back to 10 after Red Springs made a small comeback when Keylah Thompson hit a 3-pointer. The Bucks played solid defense the rest of the period, limiting the Red Devils to eight points in the third quarter. Thompson's third 3-pointer later in the third made the lead 42-26, the biggest of the game at that point. Hoke advances in the winners bracket to play Jack Britt today at St. Pauls, while Red Springs will take on St. Pauls at home.
