Unilever Leaving Hoke Athletics Family

April 6, 2012
Hoke County High School

Speaking with Gary Brigman, the Athletic Director for Hoke County High School, he mentioned that for the first time in over 27 years that Unilever would not be a part of the Hoke Athletic Family.

Coach Brigman explained that as long as he had been at the school that Unilever was a sponsor for the high school athletic program.  Unilever was a big part, an essential part of the growth in student-athlete participation at Hoke County High School.  Brigman shared that there were times that if there were some special funding needed that all he had to do was contact Unilever and they would help out.

Well, economic reasons, change of leadership, global positioning, recession, or depression, whatever the reason, Hoke County High School Athletics has lost a big member of the family.  Brigman wants Unilever know that they were an integral part of the school and truly appreciates all they have done to make Hoke County a great county in which to live.  Brigman also said whenever Unilever wanted to come back to the Hoke County High School Athletic family that the door would always be open.

Be sure to thank Unilever for all the years of community support for the High School athletic program.  They have done a great job and they will surely be missed this season.
