New Conference Offers New Results
July 26, 2009 Hoke County High School
The new school year brings with it a new athletic conference. With teams like Seventy-First, Jack Britt, Douglas Byrd, and Westover being relocated to another conference, Hoke High finds itself in a chance of finishing at the top of most every sport this season. Having been in an 8 team conference, we now are in a 6 team conference. Lumberton and Purnell Swett join the newly formed, Southeastern Conference along with Hoke, Scotland, Pinecrest, and Richmond. Where we were in a heavy football conference last year, we find ourself in a heavy baseball conference this year.
