Home » Girls' Basketball NewsLady Bobcats Fight Hard But Drop Another Conference GameFebruary 12, 2010 Flippin High SchoolFlippin Lady Bobcats gave the number one Valley Springs Lady Tigers all they could handle in the first half of this conference game but in the end fouls and fatigue may have done them in. The Lady Bobcats played some very aggressive and very effective defense in the first half and trailed the Lady Tiger by 5 at the end of the first quarter and by only 8 at the end of the first half. Again early foul trouble put two starters on the bench for Flippin in the first half but the Lady Bobcats continued to fight and stay in the game. While Valley was able to substitute with a deep bench the Lady Bobcats had to go most of the way with 7 girls. Flippin came out a sluggish in the third quarter and only scored 5 points to Valley's 22 and that would put the game away for the Lady Tigers. The benches were emptied in the fourth quarter and Valley outscored the Lady Bobcats 7-0 in the final frame. Scoring for Flippin Kiley Morris 8, Kelsey Jensen 7, Demi Hargrove 6, Brittany Crisenbery 5 and Kayla Gussy 4. The Lady Bobcats are now 11-13 on the season and 2-6 in conference play. They will be in action again on Tuesday as they travel to Yellville for another conference match up with the Lady Panthers.
