Bobcats Take 2 of 3 From Yellville

The Yellville Panthers came to town Friday Night January 3rd in the Marion County rivalry game and 3A1E conference action.  This time it was the Bobcats of Flippin who had the upper hand as the took two out of three games from the Panthers.

In the JR girls game Flippin fell 37 to 29.  Yellville led 7 to 5 after the first qtr, 20 to 12 at half and 24 to 20 after 3.   Leading Flippin was Micah Hudson with 16, Karlee Wood 5, Abby Helmke and Mary Miller 4 each.  

 The Senior Lady Bobcats mercy ruled the visiting Lady Panthers 45 to 11.  It was a balanced game for the Lady Bobcats.  They led 18 to 6, 30 to 9 and 38 to 11, holding Yellville scoreless in the 4th.

Scoring for Flippin: Riggs 6, Davis 5, Pace 5, Roberts 4, Stinnett 4, Coatney 4, May 3, Wood 3, Loucks 2, Nolan 2, Butcher 2, Rogers 2, Varn 2, Clayton 1

 The SR boys won 48 to 24.   They led 15 to 10 after 1, 22 to 12 at halftime, 30 to 19 after 3.   Leading Flippin was Josh Rogers and Spencer Politte with 14 each, Ty Leininger and Dean Smyser with 7 each and Jacob Leonard and Landry  Kopacz added 3 each.  

 Flippin improves to 13-6 overall and 2-2 in conference.  They play Bruno-Pyatt Saturday in the NAC tournament at 6:20.
