Montana Class B-C Tennis @ Missoula

Josh Paulson won the singles title, defeating teammate Carl Matt in the finals, and Spencer Lewis and Jace Kimmet finished first in doubles, as the Wolves of veteran coach Jim Gregg captured the Class B-C title for the eighth straight year.

Cut Bank scored 50 points in the three-day event at the University of Montana's Lindsay Tennis Center. Fellow District 1B member Conrad was second with 50 points, followed by Missoula Loyola Sacred Heart and St. Ignatius with 17 each.

Townsend scored 34 points to edge Baker (33) for the girls' team title. Chinook was third with 26 points, one better than Fort Benton.

Paulson defeated Matt in the title match for the second straight year, with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

In the doubles final, Lewis and Kimmet ear ned a 6-0, 6-1 triumph over the Conrad team of Kurt Janzen and Johnny Schlosser.

Calen King of Conrad finished fourth in singles.

Darbi Brady of Fairfield won the girls' singles championship, defeating Natalja Linke of Fort Benton 6-3, 6-2.

Kelsie Hansen of Chinook won the consolation title with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Gaelyn Domino of Townsend.

The Townsend duo of Jessica Sagissor and Becky Moudree captured the girls' doubles crown.

Cut Bank's Marla Rice and Brianna Bauer finished fourth in doubles.
