Lopez NewsDancing Green Waves Once again the Dancing Green Waves of Father Lopez Catholic High School are National Champions This past weekend at the Contest of Champion National Competition held at week at the Disney's Wide World of Sport the DGW'S once again stole the show. * Overall Prop champions * 1st place Division winner in JV and Varsity Pom *2nd Varsity Jazz This performance came after their strong showing at the FDTDA (Florida Dance Team Directors Association) State Competition in February held at Oviedo High school. Both JV and Varsity teams received a superior rating for their performances. The Varsity Place1st in both Pom and Prop and a 2nd in Jazz. The prop routine also received the judge's award. The Varsity squad was 2nd runner up for the Over- All Grand champion with JV posting a 3rd place finish in the pom category. Congratulations to Head Coach Kathy Blais, JV Coaches Lauren Reyes and Kate Gainey, and the Entire Dancing Green Waves Team on a great season! The Team would like to especially thank Anna Shaffer and Mandie Neilson ( Class of 2007 ) for all their help!
