Home » Music Department NewsBookout & Espinosa Selected to State Honor ChoirFebruary 21, 2011 Ellinwood High SchoolCongratulations and Good Luck to CJ Bookout and Nick Espinosa on their selection to the Kansas Music Educators Association State Honor Choir. CJ and Nick will sing with 256 of the “best of the best” singers in the state of Kansas at the KMEA State Convention in Wichita February 24th thru the 26th. The students will rehearse for two and a half days and present a concert in the Concert Hall of Century II on Saturday. Their director and clinician is Dr. Craig Jessop, Professor of Music and Head of the Department of Music at Utah State University, newly appointed Music Director of the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra, and recent past director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Students were selected through rigorous auditions for this honor. We’re very proud of CJ and Nick and wish them well!
