Home » Volleyball NewsVolleyball Earns #5 Seed, Will Host NCAA First and Second RoundsNovember 27, 2011 Eastern Indiana SportsWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue volleyball team earned the No. 5 overall seed and will host NCAA Tournament first and second round matches on Belin Court, the NCAA announced Sunday afternoon. Purdue will play host to Ball State, Louisville and Morehead State this weekend. Matches will take place at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday with Ball State and Louisville facing off in the first contest, and Morehead State battling Purdue in the second. The winners of Friday's matches will meet in a 7 p.m. Saturday contest. All matches will take place on Belin Court in Holloway Gymnasium on the campus of Purdue University. Tickets for the events are divided into prime (chair-back) and main seating areas, and also differentiated by adult and student price designations. Students are defined as age 3 to college. All-session adult prime tickets are $14, while student prime tickets are $10. All-session adult main tickets are $12, while student main tickets are $8. All-session tickets cover both Friday and Saturday matches. Single session tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. ET Friday. Single-session adult tickets are $9, while single-session student tickets are $6. This is Purdue's 14th overall NCAA Tournament appearance and its seventh in the last seven seasons. The berth gives a team a chance to improve its 17-13 all-time tournament record. The Boilermakers have hosted NCAA Tournament matches seven previous times (1981, 1982, 1983, 1987, 2006, 2008 and 2010) The Boilermakers advanced to the second round five straight years (2004-2008), including Sweet 16 appearances in 2005, 2006 and 2008; and advanced to the Elite Eight in 2010.
