Six Players Most Impacted By The Recent Hall of Fame Rule Change

With the announcement of a single rules change, the Baseball Hall of Fame and by extension Major League Baseball, decided to shorten the number of years they will have to continue discussing the “Steroids Era”.

Of course, far more respected and well-reasoned writers have offered reasons for the rules change more complex than just moving the discussion past steroids as quickly as possible.  However, even if the Hall has a rationale other than discussions about steroids, it is hard to look at the new rules that only keeps a player eligible for up to 10 years rather than 15 years in any other way.
