Should the All-Star rules change?

CINCINNATI — Bryan Price said he hasn’t followed the All-Star balloting, so he asked Saturday morning, “Any news on the All-Star stuff? Anybody have any inside dope?”

It was mentioned that three of his players were running fifth in the voting — third baseman Todd Frazier, catcher Devin Mesoraco and second baseman Brandon Phillips.

“Fifth?” he said, shaking his head and laughing. “Well, uh, yeah. I certainly think we have some players that are worthy of making the club. For sure. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. It’s a tough decision for the managers to get it 100 per cent right. It’s probably impossible.”
