How Do Pitchers Perform After Throwing a No-Hitter?

Throwing a no-hitter is still quite an achievement, despite the apparent notion that doing it has become easier than it ever was. As we have covered earlier, no-hitters have been at an all-time high during this decade, with Clayton Kershaw's latest masterpiece becoming the 21st since the start of the 2010 season.

Kershaw's historic night may have been one of the best of them all, with him dominating the Rockies to the tune of 15 strikeouts and being only an error away from a perfect game. Also, a no-hitter may be just a natural thing for a pitcher like Kershaw, and not the flukes we have seen from the likes of Phil Humber, Matt Garza, and a few other middling pitchers who have also become a part of baseball history.
