Coach Todd Berry will be looking for a QB in 2014.   Kolton Browning has been the teams signal caller since Coach Berry’s first season.  Browning missed only three games in four seasons.  Now the job is up to Brayle Brown who started two games in Browning’s absense.  Earnest Carrington will be Brown’s biggest challenge.  The running game will be in the hands of Centarius Donald, if he stays healthy.  Donald has played in 20 games in three seasons and was named HM All-Sun Belt last season.  The lack of depth for the Warhawks offense will be at WR.  Returning is Rashon Caeser who led the team in receptions with 65. But Tavarese Maye (42 catches) and Je’Ron Hamm (24 receptions) have graduated.  The Warhawks will count on Ajalen Holley to fill in the gap.

The defense will return nine starters and that may spell Coach Berry’s best defense. NT Gerrand Johnson is a second team all-conference performer.  Johnson will be flanked by teammates DE Darius Lively and DE Joey Gautney.  The linebackers will be solid with Ray Stovall and Hunter Kissinger returning.

The secondary returns four starters including Rob’Donovan Lewis.  Trey Caldwell had a great spring and will see plenty of action.

The Warhawks were bowl eligible at 6-6 thanks to a season ending win against Louisiana in Lafayette, but their season ended there. With some big names moving on, this team has some rebuilding to do.
