Early Look At 2014 Projected Starting Running Backs

The NFL season is less than 100 days away (99 to be exact) and for the football fanatic who haven't yet started it is now time to settle into a few months of fantasy football research. The first area we are going to look at is projected starting running backs for the 2014 NFL season. Much has been made recently of the decline of the running back as the passing game continues to take on a more dominant role in offenses around the league. However, the running back is still considered to be the most important positions in fantasy football as the drop off from starting RBs to backup RBs is much greater than at other positions.
For the 2014 season, at the top of most fantasy drafts, the first three positions will likely be some variation of: 1) LeSean McCoy, 2) Jamaal Charles, and 3) Adrian Peterson. But there are a lot of interesting storylines at play this off-season in the running back department, which we will look at below.
