WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -The Miami University golf team tied for 12th place along with Northern Illinois at the Boilermaker Invitational this weekend. The RedHawks shot a final score of 303 to finish the tournament 40-over par 904. Iowa won the event with a final score of 865.

Freshman Greg Conrad placed the highest for the RedHawks, tying for 39th place at eight-over par. He shot a final round of 78 to end with a final score of 224. Senior Mark MacDonald, junior Scott Cahill and sophomore Jack Sparling all tied for 52nd place, each ending with 12-over par 228. Sophomore Daniel Schwarz wasn’t far behind, tying for 62nd place after shooting a final round of 77, ending the tournament 14-over par 230.

The RedHawks will return to action with the Mid American Conference Championships May 1-3 in Carmel, Ind.
