NBA POWER RANKINGS
April 14, 2014INDIANA SPORTS PAGE
As NBA teams enter the final straightaway of the 2013-14 regular season, there isn't much left to be decided.
The Grizzlies and Suns are still fighting for their playoff lives and a handful of teams are jockeying for position, but most teams already know their destinies at this point. Some will use the last few games as playoff tune-ups, others will just be going through the motions. Personally, I'd like to think I'm doing more of the former with my final regular-season rankings.
The Blazers (No. 5) and the Pacers (No. 6), the darlings of the first half, shoot up the rankings this week after recovering from dismal second-half spells, while the Warriors (No. 11) take a bit of a fall after suffering two thrilling losses (and I'm not talking about their assistant coaches).
The rankings will return on Thursday for a special 16-team postseason edition. Until then, here's where all 30 teams stand in this week's SI.com Power Rankings, as we say goodbye to 14 teams.
