2014 American League Central Divisional Preview
March 24, 2014INDIANA SPORTS PAGE
Since league realignment in 1995, only one AL Central has been able to win the World Series (2005 White Sox), which is by far the lowest divisional output in that span. While it is true that the AL Central has been to bad teams and rebuilding efforts, the current landscape of the division presents a number of teams on the rise, even as their work is cut out for them to dethrone the current champs.
The Tigers will seek their fourth straight division crown and seem well-prepared to take it, but the young squads of the Central have a chance to make it difficult for Detroit, or at least fight to be just the third AL Central team to earn a Wild Card spot.
