Track Athlete of the Week

Kadecia Baird, Nebraska

Fr. – Brooklyn, N.Y. – Medgar Evers College Prep



·         Was the top collegiate finisher in the 300-meter run at the New Balance
Games, finishing second behind Olympian Shaunae Miller

·         Her time of 37.26 was a personal best and ranks first in the nation this
season

·         Earns the first indoor track and field weekly award of her career

·         Last Nebraska Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Ashley Miller (Jan. 23, 2012)



Field Athlete of the Week

Dani Bunch, Purdue

Sr. – Mahomet, Ill. – Mahomet-Seymour



·         Posted first-place finishes in the shot put (17.10 meters) and weight
throw (22.17 meters) at the Gladstein Invitational

·         Her mark in the weight throw currently ranks first in the country, while
her shot put score is second nationally

·         Collects the fourth indoor track and field weekly award of her career and
third consecutive honor
