*         The American Athletic Conference again has three teams in this week's top
25 polls (No. 12/7 Louisville, No. 13/15 Cincinnati, No. 22/22 Memphis) and two
others that are receiving votes (UConn, SMU).



*         Cincinnati improved to 19-2 overall and 8-0 in American Athletic
Conference play with an 80-76 win against Temple Sunday. G Sean Kilpatrick scored 29
points, including the game-winning free throws with 7.2 seconds left, for the
Bearcats.



*         Temple G Dalton Pepper scored a career-high 33 points against Cincinnati -
the most by an American Athletic Conference player in a league game.



*         SMU improved to 5-2 in The American (16-4 overall) with a 75-68 win at
Houston. SMU G Nic Moore missed his first eight shots from the field, but made 8 of
his last 10 attempts to finish with a game-high 28 points.



*         Memphis is 15-4 overall and 5-2 in The American following an 80-58 win
against USF at FedExForum. The Tigers had 23 assists on 25 made field goals in the
win.



*         The American Athletic Conference Player of the Week is UConn G Shabazz
Napier (26.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.0 apg, 1.5 spg in two wins). The American Rookie of the
Week is SMU F Ben Moore (12 points, five rebounds, two assists in a win against
Rutgers).



*         The next game in The American will be Tuesday as SMU visits USF (7 p.m.
ET, ESPNews). The Mustangs won the teams' first meeting 71-54 Jan. 15 in Dallas.
