MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A season-high 10 three-pointers propelled the No. 23/22 University of Memphis men's basketball team (15-4, 5-2 American) to an 80-58 win over USF (10-10, 1-6 American) on Sunday afternoon at FedExForum.

Chris Crawford led Memphis with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from behind the arc, while Joe Jackson added 14 points and seven assists. USF was led by Martino Brock, who totaled 17 points and had a team-high six rebounds.

It was neck-and-neck throughout the first six minutes of play as USF took a 12-11 advantage after a basket by Brock. An answer on the other end with a layup from King began a 9-0 run by the Tigers before a huge alley-oop from Geron Johnson to Goodwin gave Memphis a 15-12 lead. The two helped push the Tigers lead to 20-12 before the Bulls ended their drought with another layup from Brock.

USF pulled within one with three-straight baskets for a 21-20 game with 7:37 to play. The Bulls kept within striking distance over the next several minutes until Memphis stretched the lead to six. David Pellom came up with a block and a basket on the other end to make it a 28-22 game with 3:16 remaining in the half.

A three-pointer from Jackson extended the Tigers' advantage to nine before a triple from Crawford gave Memphis a 34-22 halftime lead.

In the second half, Memphis began to light it up from downtown with Johnson getting it started to put the Tigers up 44-28 with 16:03 to play. Memphis then went 4-of-4 from behind the arc with Michael Dixon Jr. and Crawford draining two threes apiece to stretch the lead to 56-33 near the midway point of the half.

After a basket from Goodwin, Crawford connected from deep again to make it a 61-33 game with 11:29 to go. King extended Memphis' advantage to 30 after a layup just under the nine-minute mark for the Tigers' largest lead of the game.

The Bulls pulled back within 22 after a three-pointer from Javontae Hawkins to make it 73-51 with 4:35 to play. Memphis pushed it back up to 27 following two free throws from King at 2:38 for a 79-52 score.

A layup from Brock with 37 seconds to play made it a final 80-58 game.

Memphis heads back on the road Wednesday when it takes on UCF at 6 p.m. (CT) in Orlando, Fla. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
