BMW GOLFER QUOTES

BRANDT SNEDEKER: Yeah, it was one of those days where everything seemed to go right in the middle of the round. Got off to kind of a slow start and made a great birdie from off the green on 13 that got everything moving in the right direction, and to roll off seven birdies in a row kind of came out of nowhere. I wasn't expecting it. I hadn't been playing the best to say the least, and to get on a roll like that is always welcoming. Great frame of mind, looking forward to the rest of the week. I realize it's going to be a completely different golf course tomorrow if the wind changes. Excited I got my one low one in me out of the way early and go out and play some solid golf the rest of the week. It's great. I've been telling everybody my main goal was to be in the top 5 going into the FedExCup finale in East Lake and realize how important that is. So that's my whole goal for this week, and I've done a great job putting myself in position to get to next week and controlling my own destiny and having a chance to retain that Cup that I've had for a year and cherished for a year.
TIGER WOODS: Well, I certainly wasted a lot of shots out there today. I missed three short ones and played the par?5s stupendously. One of those days. It's a little bit lower considering the wind. The guys really took advantage of it today. The greens weren't as fast as they were yesterday, and you certainly could be a lot more aggressive, and just it was a golf course in which you could be really, really aggressive. Yeah, that's the only thing they've got, yeah, because it's warm still, so the ball was still traveling. Some of the holes we're hitting 3?wood just over 300 yards and things of that nature. The course played short. I'm not exactly real happy. I played well, and I just didn't get much out of that round. As I said, I missed three little short ones in there and then played the par?5s even par. That's just not very good. It was tricky but it still was warm out. Towards the end it started dropping a little bit, the temperature, but most of the day it was warm, ball was traveling, and the greens were soft. They were so receptive you could fire at just about every flag.
PHIL MICKELSON: Yeah, it wasn't the way I wanted to prepare for an event, having not seen a course. I wanted to get in here and play a practice round Tuesday and Wednesday, and obviously I wasn't able to do that. But Bones guided me around here. I'll feel more comfortable tomorrow. I'll have to get a little bit more aggressive. I think I was a little cautious today not knowing what to expect. But the golf course is in wonderful shape. The greens are spectacular. They're difficult to make putts because they have a lot of double?breaking putts. They move kind of both ways a lot of times, so it's difficult to make them. But if I hit it close enough, maybe I'll be able to make them.
JORDAN SPIETH: I got to control the speed better on the greens. That's what killed me the last two weeks. When I made mistakes it was because I just couldn't control my first?putt speed. So I've got some work to do there. I had a bogey?? a couple bogeys, one right next to the green on a par?5. All in all there's a couple rusty mistakes. There's no rust, but it was one of those kind of days where I really should have been 3?under. I was hitting it good enough to shoot 3?under out here, even in this wind. I just let a couple get to me but came back with a couple birdies.
