Deshaun Thomas scored 17 points to lead No. 10 Ohio State to its fifth Big Ten Tournament title.
The Buckeyes raced to an early 13-6 lead before the Badgers could get their offense going in the first half of play. Wisconsin then went on a 18-4 run before Ohio State was able to score the last 7 points of the half. The Badgers were able to take a 1 point lead into the locker room,24-23.
The teams exchanged baskets in the first 13 minutes of the second half before the Buckeyes could build a slim lead. The Ohio State defense held Wisconisn to no field goals in the final 7 minutes, there last basket coming on a Sam Dekker layup. The Badgers were unable to take advantage of the smaller Buckeye lineup as the Buckeyes go on to win the B1G Tournament 50-43. Ohio State won the last tournament held at the United Center.
