(CHICAGO) The Hoosier defense held the Illini offense to 25.9% shooting and they carried a 14 point lead into locker room 35-21. Indiana dominated the paint the in first half scoring 18 points, despite 11 turnovers and only shooting 1-8 from beyond the arc. Cody Zeller, led the first half scorers with 14 points.
The lead stayed at double digits for most of second half, until two free throws from D.J. Richardson cut the lead to 8 with 8:17 left in the game. It never got any closer after that with the Hoosiers going on a 20-12 run, as they out rebounded the Illini 38-26. A give and go led to an Oladipo dunk, a Brandon Paul turnover followed by a Egwu sending Jordan Hulls to the free throw line.
A Yogi Ferrell steal with 1:39 led to a 180 dunk by Victor Oladipo, sealed the win for the Hoosiers. The Hoosiers had five players in double figures with Zeller scoring 24 points, Victor Oladipo had a double/double with 12 Points and 11 rebounds. The hoosiers awaits the winner of Michigan-Wisconsin in the semi-finals on Saturday.
