Home » Baseball NewsEARLHAM PLAYER'S HONOREDMarch 11, 2013 Eastern Indiana SportsRICHMOND, Ind. — A doubleheader sweep of Johnson University last Saturday helped a pair of Earlham College baseball players earn a weekly honor from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference on Monday. Ted Willams was named the HCAC Player of the Week, while Nate Hube was the HCAC Pitcher of the Week. Williams was 6-for-10 in the weekend doubleheaders against Johnson and Otterbein University played in Florence, Kentucky. He had a pair of homers and knocked in seven runs with a double, six runs scored, a walk and a hit by pitch. In the second contest of the Johnson twinbill, Hube tossed the second no-hitter in Earlham history with seven strikeouts in a 5-inning, 12-0 win. The Quakers (3-7) travel to Roanoke College this Saturday for a doubleheader that begins at noon.
