Arkansas’ Marshawn Powell, a 6-foot-7, 240-pound junior forward from Newport News, Va., was named SEC?Player of the Week after averaging 22 points, 5.5 rebounds, two assists and 1.5 blocks in  win at Auburn and versus Missouri. Powell led the Razorbacks in scoring in Arkansas’ game against Missouri, scoring 15 of his 24 points in the second half and helping Arkansas erase a four-point halftime deficit. He nearly posted his fourth double-double of the year against Auburn with 20 point and nine rebounds. He recorded back-to-back 20-point games for the first time since his true freshman season (2009-10). Powell moved into 24th on Arkansas’ all-time scoring list with 1,201 career points passing Mario Credit (1,162 pts) this week.

Florida’s Michael Frazier II, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound freshman guard from Tampa, Fla., was named SEC?Freshman of the Week after averaging nine points, two rebounds and an assist in wins over Kentucky and at Auburn. Against Auburn, Frazier found his touch from beyond the arc. The freshman guard tallied 18 points on six three-point field goals. He only missed one three pointer on the day. His 18 points were a career-best.
