*         Marquette and Syracuse both scored victories Saturday to join Georgetown
atop the BIG EAST standings at 9-3 in league play.



*         Marquette extended its home winning streak to 23 games with its 79-69 win
against Pittsburgh.



*         Syracuse defeated Seton Hall behind a career-high 29 points from guard
Brandon Triche.



*         DePaul snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 75-69 win against Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights announced that guard Eli Carter - the team's leading scorer -
suffered a season-ending leg injury.



*         Providence won its fourth straight with a 71-54 win against Notre Dame.
Friars guard Vincent Council passed Ernie DiGregorio (1969-73) as the school's
career assists leader (671).



*         Villanova got 25 points from freshman guard Ryan Arcidiacono as the
Wildcats won at Connecticut 70-61.



*         Sunday's lone game has Louisville at USF at 1 p.m. on ESPN.
