Indiana Head Coach TOM CREAN
One the win:"Our guys were locked and loaded. They really were. Bob Hammel sent me a great email the other day and I've thought about it a bunch - it said that there is a big difference between having will and having an edge. Our team really had an edge. They came with an edge, they practice with an edge, they woke this morning and ate breakfast with an edge and they carried it over. Sometimes that edge can be short-lived, but they are driven by the right things. They knew they didn't play as well the other night and that we were walking into as tough of environment as you're going to get in the country. They knew we were playing against as physical of a team as we have played to this point and they handled it. We wanted to set the tempo and pace. We didn't want to let Aaron Craft, not only set the tempo, but the set the pace for our team, which happened some because we knew we had a big job and our guys responded to it."
On Ohio State:"Ohio State is the real deal. Aaron [Craft] sets the pace for OSU and tries to set the pace for other teams. We couldn't let them set the pace. It was an incredibly tough environment and I thought our team handled it well."
On developing an ability to put a team away:"It takes consciousness. When our guys absorb what they need to do and do it, that's when you can put a team away."
On Indiana's style of play: "We are focused so much on team. While others might have the best frontcourt or defensive backcourt in the country, we're trying to have the best team. You have to have great players to have the best team."
