Swimmer of the Week

Sean Grier, Penn State

·         Posted three first-place finishes and one second-place effort in Penn
State’s defeat of Navy last weekend

·         Placed first in the 100-yard backstroke (48.32), 100-yard butterfly
(47.98) and 200-yard medley relay (1:28.20) and second in the 400-yard freestyle
relay (3:02.66)

·         His times in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard butterfly broke pool
records and were NCAA provisional qualifying marks

·         Earns the second weekly award of his career

Diver of the Week

Shane Miszkiel, Ohio State

Jr. – Victoria, B.C. – Claremont Secondary School



·         Placed first in the one-meter (406.50) and three-meter (420.98) diving
events last weekend

·         Both of his scores were NCAA Zone Diving qualifying marks

·         Helped the No. 10 Buckeyes to a dual meet win against Cincinnati

·         Earns the seventh weekly award of his career and fifth of the season
