Kyle Farnsworth (1-5) served up a leadoff single to Manny Machado, and Robert Andino sacrificed him to second.

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Franklin Gutierrez's two-run single in the fourth inning was the difference as the Seattle Mariners edged the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-2, in the second of three games at Rogers Centre. Miguel Olivo added a solo home run for the Mariners, who have won two straight.

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Billy Butler had three hits and three RBI as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Minnesota Twins, 10-5, in the middle test of a three-game series at Target Field. Alex Gordon and Salvador Perez added two RBI apiece for the Royals, who have won three straight and four of their last five.

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics continue to rely on their unheralded young arms. They've yet to falter. This time it was rookie A.J. Griffin, who tossed eight scoreless frames in Oakland's 4-1 win over the LA Angels of Anaheim in the third installment of a key four-game set.
