Rebekka Simko, Penn State

·         Took first place at the Lock Haven Dolan Duals, finishing the 4,000-meter
course in 14:16

·         Pushed the Nittany Lions to a first-place team finish

·         The weekly honor is the first of her career

·         Last Penn State Runner of the Week: Caitlin Lane (Sept. 6, 2011)



Sam Walkow, Purdue

Sr. – Vancouver, British Columbia – Semiahmoo Secondary



·         Earned a first-place finish at the Valparaiso Crusader Open, running the
5,000-meter course in 17:46

·         Led the Boilermakers to first place in the four-team field, which included
No. 22 Notre Dame

·         One of just two female runners to break the 18 minute mark at the race

·         The weekly honor is the first of her career

·         Last Purdue Runner of the Week: Katie Conrad (Oct. 13, 2009)
