AVON, Ind. – Richmond went 1-3 on Saturday in the Avon Invitational.

The Red Devils defeated Northview 25-12, 25-15, but fell to Greenwood (26-24, 15-25, 15-12), Perry Meridian (25-15, 25-16) and Jennings County (20-25, 25-21, 15-10).

WALDRON, Ind. – Union County went 4-0 on Saturday to win the Waldron Invitational.

The Patriots halted Edgewood (19-25, 25-20, 15-9), Waldron (25-24, 15-13), South Decatur (25-13, 25-10) and Rising Sun (25-8, 25-12).

Isabella Pavey had 23 assists against Edgewood, while Carlea Handley had 15 and Allison Kassens 12.

Seton Catholic defeated Christian Academy 25-9, 25-11, 25-8 on Saturday, one day after the Cardinals also knocked off Horizon Christian 25-10, 25-22, 25-22.

Maleiah Thompson had 10 kills and Emily Linginfelter seven in the win over Christian Academy, while Abby Dargie added 10 aces and 23 assists.

Dargie also had 13 assists in Friday’s victory, as Maggie Lahmann finished with seven kills and Thompson had 12 digs.
