Wide receiver Tobias Singleton, first-year head coach Hugh Freeze told the media, decided Wednesday morning that he no longer wanted to be a part of the Rebels football team. No official reason for the departure was given, although the Jackson Clarion-Ledger wrote that Singleton ”never bought into the coaching staff and the program.” Singleton was recruited by Nutt, who was fired late last year and ultimately replaced by Freeze. There’s no word yet on a potential transfer destination, although WJTV.com reported that Singleton may take a look at SWAC schools. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/08/17/former-four-star-receiver-leaves-ole-miss/
