Home » Football NewsClose TigersAugust 10, 2012 Eastern Indiana SportsClose games and Hagerstown football just went together in 2011. The Tigers won twice by a point. Their final three games were all losses, but each was by fewer than 10 points. Win or lose, that experience should be a positive for coach Scott Snodgrass and his squad. “I think it helps us out. I think it made us stronger last year,” said Snodgrass, who is in his second season as Hagerstown’s head coach. “That’s a credit to the kids’ character. I think they see some of the teams at the top of the TEC (Tri-Eastern Conference) last year, we were right there with them. “We have our goals set as a team and Hagerstown traditionally has had pretty solid success in the TEC. We have our goals set on winning a title. We’re going to do our best every single game.” Hagerstown finished 5-5 last season, one year after the Tigers ran through an undefeated regular season and won a sectional championship. http://www.pal-item.com/article/20120809/HSSPORTS01/308090023/Close-Tigers
