August 9, 2012
Eastern Indiana Sports

Peyton Manning got behind center in a game setting Thursday night, starting for the Denver Broncos against the host Chicago Bears.

The former Indianapolis Colts quarterback played one series for his new team, driving it 50 yards to the Bears 12 before throwing an interception on a pass intended for ex-Colts teammate Brandon Stokley.

Major Wright got the pickoff after it bounced off Stokley's hands.

Manning completed 4-of-7 passes for 44 yards. His longest completion was 19 yards to Eric Decker.

Manning last played for the Colts in the playoffs after the 2010 season. He missed last season with a neck injury.
