Here’s what stood out from watching Sunday’s Colts camp practice at Anderson University:
* WR Donnie Avery suffered an injury to his left thigh after diving to catch a deep throw. He did not return to action and had his upper left leg wrapped.
“The doctors are going to examine,” said Colts coach Chuck Pagano. “He’ll go in and probably do an MRI or something later on, I haven’t got the full report. It’s nothing major, I know that.”
* CB Brandon King intercepted two passes from rookie QB Chandler Harnish. King, a former Purdue star, has been with the Colts for parts of the past two seasons and is among many vying for a job in the secondary.
* QB Andrew Luck was upset with himself on several incompletions, but his overall numbers were still solid: 28-of-41 with five TDs. Not bad for an “off” day, considering he usually completes a higher percentage.
