The Boilermakers practiced outside for the first couple of hours before storms forced the team indoors. The team wore just jerseys and helmets and will do so again in its next practice. The Boilermakers are scheduled to break out the shoulders pads for days three and four before going to full gear from then on. Head coach Danny Hope was very excited after the first practice and noted that the team seems to have picked up where it left off in spring. Senior tight end Crosby Wright echoed the coach’s point and said that it was the best opening practice since he’s been at Purdue.
