Home » Football NewsPenn State kicker Anthony Fera transferring to TexasAugust 2, 2012 Eastern Indiana SportsAll-Big Ten kicker Anthony Fera has decided to transfer to Texas, dealing the Nittany Lions a major hit to their special teams. Fera connected on 14 of 17 field goal attempts and was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award. He also averaged 42.0 yards on punts. There was no announcement from either school after a report by ESPN, though Fera had been removed from the Penn State roster on the school's website. The move for his final two years of eligibility makes sense. The Longhorns are looking for replacement after place kicker Justin Tucker finished his career.
