Home » Stock Car NewsNationwide Series: Brad Keselowski wins Indiana 250July 28, 2012 Eastern Indiana SportsJust think what “The Captain” missed at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday. At the moment Brad Keselowski rewarded car owner Roger Penske with a first NASCAR victory at IMS, the legendary boss was on a plane flying home from Europe. “We’re trying to get him,” said Penske Racing President Tim Cindric, as he walked toward the victory platform to celebrate winning the inaugural Nationwide Series Indiana 250. “You can’t call a plane. He’s over the Atlantic (Ocean).” This much is certain — Keselowski intends to tease Penske about missing a triumph at a track where the legendary car owner has won 15 Indianapolis 500s. “You’re right I will,” Keselowski said. Until some late surprises, the race had two compelling subplots and both ended abruptly in smoke.
