BUTLER, PA. — The Richmond RiverRats and Chillicothe Paints will play tonight for first place in the Prospect League’s East Division.

Richmond, at 12-6, owns a half-game lead over 13-8 Chillicothe as a key second-half series begins at McBride Stadium. First pitch is 7:05 tonight, and the teams play again at 6:05 p.m. Sunday.

Richmond lost 5-4 Friday at Butler in the completion of a game suspended Thursday, but the Paints also lost a game postponed from Thursday, falling 5-4 to Slippery Rock. Chillicothe, though, rebounded for a 1-0, eight-inning decision in Friday’s regularly scheduled game. Richmond’s regularly scheduled game was cancelled by rain.

Butler led 1-0 in the second inning when rain struck. The RiverRats and Blue Sox do not face each other again this season.
