Cano added an RBI single for the Yankees, who have won six of their last seven games. New York starter Freddy Garcia (4-2) gave up three runs on five hits and five walks in five innings. Rafael Soriano earned his 22nd save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth. Jerome Williams (6-6) returned to the Halos' rotation after being activated from the 15-day disabled list. Recovered from respiratory issues, Williams made his first start in a month and allowed five runs on seven hits over six frames to absorb his fourth consecutive loss.
