College Fantasy Football: 2012 Impact True Freshman

In this age of college football, freshman are seeing more early playing time than ever before.  Some redshirt before making their mark on the gridiron (we covered redshirt freshman to watch here).  Others hit the ground running the minute they set foot on campus. 

Below are 21 true freshman to put on your college fantasy football watchlists this fall.

1.     T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama
Potentially the most complete back on the roster as just a freshman, Yeldon has a chance to make an instant impact as he gained valuable experience by enrolling early in the spring. Fans and coaches alike caught a sneak preview of coming attractions as Yeldon totaled nearly 200 yards of offense in the team’s spring game, and possibly moved his way up the depth chart as we get closer to fall practices. Unlike others on this list, Yeldon comes into a situation, though, that is already well-stocked with talent so expectations must be limited. With Eddie Lacy penciled in as the starter and talented backups in Dee Hart and Jalston Fowler, carries will be hard to come by.
