WESTBROOKS' MINDSET IS KEY FOR OKC

MIAMI – If it’s not easy being an enigma, imagine trying to coach one.
You never know what you’re going to get. Though on Monday afternoon it appeared Oklahoma City Thunder Scott Brooks had gotten about 30 minutes of sleep the night before.
It wasn’t all Russell Westbrook’s fault. But you can be sure he had something to do with his coach’s haggard look.
At issue was Sunday night’s game, when Brooks benched Westbrook after a particularly enigmatic stretch. Westbrook was not pleased. But did he learn anything from the teachable moment?
“Umm, not really,” he said. “I don’t know.”
Such is life with Westbrook. It’s not a total basketball mystery. You know you’re going to get a ton of energy and two tons worth of basketballs hoisted at the rim.
