Summer League Placements for Return Purdue Baseball Players

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.-- A number of Purdue baseball players returning for the 2013 season will continuing playing ball throughout the summer, joining teams from Massachusetts to Minnesota for NCAA-sanctioned summer wood bat leagues.
Sean McHugh and Stephen Talbott are the furthest from home this summer. McHugh is playing for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod League, which is generally considered the top summer league in the nation. Talbott is playing for the Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League.
Brett Andrzejewski also returned to the Northwoods League this summer, rejoining the Waterloo Bucks.
Joe Eichmann, Brandon Krieg, Bennett Oliver and Kyle Wood have remained teammates while all playing for the Northwest Indiana Oilmen of the Midwest Collegiate League. The Oilmen play their home games at Oil City Stadium/Standard Diamonds Park in Whiting, Ind., which is located just a few blocks from the shores of Lake Michigan.
