The former AL MVP signed on with the Toronto Blue Jays last month and was playing himself into shape in the minors, hitting .313 with four home runs in 11 games at Class A and AAA. His release ended a confusing several hours that led some to suspect Guerrero's career was over. First Blue Jays broadcaster Mike Wilner tweeted that Guerrero, 37, had decided to give up his comeback bid, but then the slugger's agent said, not so fast.
