RiverRats pound Paints

Dwayne Hysmith Jr. certainly didn’t look like a guy struggling at the plate. 

Hysmith’s three hits ignited a Richmond power surge Saturday night as the RiverRats routed Chillicothe 13-3 at McBride Stadium. 

Hysmith and Jake Welch each belted third-inning home runs as Richmond climbed one game away from .500. 

The RiverRats won for the second time in as many nights. They snapped a three-game slide with Friday’s 6-4 victory at Butler.
