Kentucky's 4-run 4th spells end for Purdue

One rough inning Sunday cost Big Ten baseball champion Purdue in a 6-3 loss to Kentucky in an elimination game in the Gary Regional at U.S. Steel Yard.

The Boilermakers (45-14) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first on a two-out RBI triple by Big Ten Player of the Year Kevin Plawecki (Westfield) and an RBI double by Barrett Serrato.
