Junior quarterback Andrew Maxwell has the tools to succeed Kirk Cousins nicely, after serving as his backup for two years and watching Cousins lead Michigan State to a share of the Big Ten title in 2010 and the Big Ten Legends Division championship last year. Maxwell is a strong-armed pocket passer with better athleticism than Cousins, and the ability to throw on the run. Cousins’ leadership will be missed, though.
